Abstract

DOI: http://doi.org/10.26333/sts.xxx2.04

This paper consists of a comparison of two theories of structured propositions: firstly, the theory proposed by Kazimierz Ajdukiewicz in the 1960s and secondly, the theory developed by Jeffrey King in the beginning of the 21st century. The first section of the paper includes an overview of the two accounts in question. In the second part I discuss, in detail, the signifcant similarities between the theories. Following this I recognise and analyse how these theories differ and then attempt to determine if these differences are substantial. The last part is an attempt to answer the question of whether discussed theories can deal with the ‘so called’ Benacerraf ’s problem.
